Law enforcement officers have launched a pre-trial investigation into the accident in Brovary caused by Vladimir Maybozhenko. According to the Kyiv regional prosecutor's office, the issue of serving the detainee with a notice of suspicion is being decided, UNN reports.
"...a pre-trial investigation into the road accident in Brovary (Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been initiated," the Kyiv Region Prosecutor's Office said.
This article provides that the penalty is imprisonment for up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of three to five years.

According to preliminary data, on April 26, 2024, an official of the Kyiv regional state administration, driving a car, passed an intersection, drove to the side of the road and hit pedestrians.

Four people, including one child, were hospitalized. The severity of the injuries is being established.
