Details
"Messages to users about 'debts' to Nova Poshta are fake. Nova Poshta emphasizes that these letters have nothing to do with the company. The goal of the scammers is to get your personal data. Reliably protect your personal data and do not open suspicious emails and links," the National Security and Defense Council's Disinformation Countermeasures Center emphasized.
"This morning, cybercriminals sent fake messages to Ukrainians about alleged debts to Nova Poshta. Please note: these letters have nothing to do with Nova Poshta," Nova Poshta said on Facebook.
It is indicated that the company's cybersecurity unit is already working to block the network of servers from which the mailings are sent.
"The company's cybersecurity team analyzed the phishing activity," the company added.
"To all users who have tried to open attachments in these emails, we recommend the following:
1. Install an antivirus program (with an up-to-date database) and perform a full scan of your device for malware.
2. Completely reinstall the operating system to eliminate potentially hidden threats if malware is detected during the scan or if you suspect that the system has been compromised.
These actions are necessary to protect your data and prevent further risks," Nova Poshta said in a statement.
