The protected lands of Tsumanska Pushcha in Volyn region, which cover almost 40 hectares and cost UAH 330 million, have been returned to the state, the Prosecutor General's Office reports, UNN.
The Lutsk District Prosecutor's Office of Volyn Region secured in court the return to state ownership of nearly 40 hectares of land in the nature reserve fund worth UAH 330 million
Prosecutors established that based on illegal decisions of the authorities and local self-government, the land plots used by the Kivertsi National Nature Park “Tsumanska Pushcha” were unreasonably classified as agricultural land.
They were transferred to communal ownership and later leased to a business entity.
