The government has equalized the maximum price of compensation for prostheses for children to the price of prostheses for adults. These funds are reimbursed to prosthetic companies from the state budget, according to the Ministry of Social Policy, UNN reports.

As noted, for a long time the prices of prostheses for children in Ukraine remained lower than for adults. However, the components used for adult and children's prostheses are the same. The Ministry of Social Policy noted that this situation made it impossible for enterprises to purchase expensive components for children's prostheses.
Therefore, in order to provide children with the necessary prostheses in Ukraine, the government decided to equate the maximum price of compensation for prostheses for children with that for adults. These funds are reimbursed from the state budget to prosthetic companies
From now on, there will be prices for providing prostheses to children with disabilities and children with musculoskeletal disorders:
- for lower limb prostheses: the minimum cost is UAH 14 thousand, the maximum cost is about UAH 856 thousand; .
- for upper limb prostheses: the minimum cost is UAH 17 thousand, the maximum cost is about UAH 503 thousand.
