Austria has withdrawn its reservations about the 12th package of EU sanctions against Russia, which means that a written procedure can begin to finalize the adoption of a new sanctions package, three EU diplomats told.
Vienna has slowed down the process of approving the next package of sanctions, as it wanted to conduct internal checks first. Despite these obstacles, the package was approved last week, but it still needs to be formally approved by the EU Council.
