Police officer dies in hospital after yesterday's Russian shelling in Chernihiv region

A police major died in hospital after being wounded by an enemy drone in Chernihiv region, the head of the Chernihiv RMA Vyacheslav Chaus said on Thursday in Telegram, UNN reports.

Details

"The police officer who was wounded yesterday as a result of Russian shelling died in hospital. Doctors did everything possible, but they failed to save the man. Police Major Serhiy Havluk was killed on duty. My condolences to the family," Chaus wrote on Telegram.

According to him, in total, the Russian army conducted 21 attacks over the day. 53 explosions were heard in Chernihiv region.

In Novhorod-Siverskyi district, a 41-year-old police officer was injured by an enemy drone while on duty. His condition was assessed by doctors as serious.
