Polish state railway operator PKP Intercity has officially begun the procedure for approving a new international route between the capitals of Poland and Ukraine. This was reported by The Warsaw, UNN reports.

The Railway Transport Authority received a notification from PKP Intercity regarding the launch of commercial passenger service on the route Warsaw West - Dorohusk (border crossing) - Warsaw West as part of the international connection Warsaw West - Kyiv Passenger - Warsaw West
It is noted that the new route will operate from December 13, 2026 to December 13, 2031. Trains will run daily.
Within Poland, the trains will be available only for international travel. This means they will not be available for domestic trips. Travel will be permitted only between the departure and destination stations of a specific route outside Poland.
The train towards Ukraine will depart from Warsaw West at 18:46. The train will arrive at Dorohusk at 22:00, and departure from the border crossing is scheduled for 23:10. The final station indicated in the document is Kyiv Passenger in Kyiv.
Reminder
Since June 28, the "Bessarabia" train will run daily on the Kyiv-Chisinau route. The departure time from Chisinau has been changed to 19:52 for more convenient connections.
