The pharmaceutical community of Ukraine has called on the chairman of the committee on finance, tax and customs policy Daniil Hetmantsev to ensure participation in the meeting of the Committee on National Health, where amendments to the draft law No. 11493 "on medicines" will be considered .
The restrictions that are proposed to be introduced in the bill will destroy the stability of the market, lead to the bankruptcy of pharmacies and suppliers, which will ultimately lead to a shortage of medicines and a rise in the price of medicines for consumers
The corresponding letter is available to UNN.
Pharmacists warn that this will also have a negative impact on the availability of medicines in rural and remote areas, especially in front-line areas.
"This will lead to the loss of UAH 3.9 billion in tax revenues annually. This is a direct blow to the state treasury, which is unacceptable in difficult wartime. In addition, there will be a large-scale shadowing of the industry. After all, market participants will have to look for workarounds to continue their activities, which will only worsen the transparency of the business environment," the Association noted.
Pharmacists urge Daniil Getmantsev to personally take part in the committee meeting and ensure that decisions are made taking into account the interests of citizens and businesses. "Your leadership and participation in the committee meeting will help you find an informed decision that will not endanger the country's economy and the availability of medicines for citizens," market representatives note.
