Apple TV+ to create drama series Bananas with Oscar Isaac and Ana de Armas
Apple will create a series “Bananas”, starring Oscar Isaac and Ana de Armas, writes UNN with reference to Deadline.
Details [1
In a competitive situation, Apple TV+ was given the opportunity to develop a high-level drama series project tentatively titled Bananas.
Oscar Isaac and Ana de Armas have been cast in the lead roles in the series, and they will also serve as executive producers. The plot of the potential series is being kept under wraps due to sources indicating that the working title refers to the so-called banana republics (a term used to describe politically and economically unstable countries in regions such as Central America). Oscar Isaac will executive produce the series through MadGene Media alongside Gina Konstantinakos.
On television, Oscar Isaac recently headlined a limited Marvel series for Disney+ Moon Knight. He received an Emmy nomination for his role in the HBO series Scenes from a Wedding.
Bananas will be Ana de Armas' debut in an English-language series. As for movies, she will next be seen starring in John Wick's Lionsgate film Ballerina, which will be released in theaters on June 6, 2025.
