Russian troops fired 16 times at the settlements of Donetsk region yesterday, August 22, , killing one local resident and injuring 8 others. This was reported by the head of the RMA Vadim Filashkin, UNN reports.

According to Filashkin, the operational situation in the region as of the morning of August 23 is as follows:
- Volnovakha district. In Maksymivka of Vuhledar community, 3 houses were damaged.
- Pokrovsk district. In Kurakhove, the premises of an enterprise were damaged; 25 private houses were damaged in Uspenivka, and 1 more in Trudove.
- Kramatorsk district. In Lyman, 4 houses and 4 non-residential buildings were damaged; in Torske, 5 houses were destroyed and 4 damaged; in Zarichne, an outbuilding was damaged. In Kostyantynivka, 2 people were injured, a shop, an educational institution and 5 trade pavilions were damaged. In Pleshchiyivka of Illinivska community, 4 people were injured and 10 objects were damaged.
- Bakhmut district. A person was wounded in Toretsk and a house was damaged. In Chasovoyarsk community, 7 private houses, a multi-storey building and an industrial building were damaged. Five houses were damaged in Siversk, and another one in Serebryanka.
Filashkin also said that 3,095 people, including 476 children, have been evacuated from the front line.
