Instagram has announced a new feature that allows users to add a song to their profile. This was reported by The Verge.
Details
The song can be selected from Instagram's library of licensed music by going to the Profile Edit page.
The track will be displayed on your page, but it won't play automatically. Followers will have to click on the track to listen to it. Users will only be able to select a 30-second snippet of the song.
The song will be displayed in the profile until the user decides to remove or replace it.
Addendum
The publication added that Instagram launched this feature in collaboration with singer Sabrina Carpenter. An excerpt of her new song Taste can already be heard on her official Instagram profile.
To promote Carpenter's album Short n' Sweet, Instagram added several options for users. Using keywords such as "Sabrina" or the coffee cup emoji turns temporary Notes messages light blue, and a Carpenter chat theme with a lipstick kiss imprint is also available.
Recall
Instagram has introduced a new feature that sends teens prompts suggesting they take a break if they spend more than 10 minutes on Reels or private messages after 10 p.m.
