Law enforcement officers are investigating events involving servicemen of military unit A5001. The unit commander, who left his place of service without authorization, is being sought.

The commander of military unit A5001 (155th OMBr) arbitrarily left service, he is being searched for, an investigation into events related to the brigade's soldiers is underway, reported the Operational Command "North" on Facebook on Saturday, writes UNN.

As stated in the OC "North", information is spreading online "about events related to the servicemen of military unit A5001".

"Regarding the current situation, we report the following. Investigative actions have been initiated by law enforcement agencies regarding the mentioned incident. The command of the OC "North" provides law enforcement with comprehensive support and facilitates maximum transparency of the investigation. All illegal actions will receive a proper legal assessment. The guilty will be held accountable in accordance with current legislation," the statement of the OC "North" reads.

"The individuals involved in the investigation have been suspended from performing their official duties and are cooperating with investigators. The whereabouts of the commander of military unit A5001, who arbitrarily left his place of service, is currently being established," the OC "North" noted.

Details that can be made public without harming the investigation, as stated in the "North" Operational Command, will be released by law enforcement agencies.

This statement came after the media published information that law enforcement officers detained several soldiers of the brigade.  

According to data on the brigade's website, since February 2026, the commander of the 155th Mechanized Brigade (military unit A5001) named after Anna of Kyiv has been Lieutenant Colonel Stanislav Luchanov. Until 2026, he held the position of chief of staff in the 425th Separate Assault Regiment "Skelya".
