There is no shortage of electricity in Ukraine's power system today and no power outages are expected. The enemy shelled a power generation facility in the south of the country. This was reported on Friday, November 24, by the Ministry of Energy, UNN writes.
Generation and consumption
"Yesterday, a slight shortage of electricity was recorded for several hours, to cover which electricity was imported as emergency aid," the Energy Ministry said.
As indicated, the amount of electricity imported was less than 1% of daily consumption. At the same time, during the period of maximum evening electricity consumption, there was no imported electricity as emergency aid, the ministry added.
"No deficit is expected for the current day. Ukrainian power plants cover the needs of consumers. Therefore, no restrictions on electricity for consumers and, as a result, no scheduled blackouts are expected," the Energy Ministry said.
All blackouts currently recorded in Ukraine are reportedly the result of weather, technological disruptions, or hostilities.
At the same time, it is reported that two TPP units have been put under emergency repair. One of them is planned to be put back into operation in the evening, when electricity consumption increases during peak evening hours.
Import/export
Commercial electricity imports amounted to 4022 MWh over the past day. Exports amounted to 10 MWh.
Consequences of the shelling
"The enemy shelled an electricity generation facility in the south of the country. There is damage to the equipment. There are no casualties," the statement reads.
ZNPP
"The water level in the cooling pond remains stable at 15.66 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant," the Energy Ministry said.
