Last year, the world was too optimistic about the war in Ukraine, and this mistake should not be repeated in 2024. Ukraine needs even more support now. This was stated by the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Robert Bauer, at the 16th annual Kyiv Security Forum, UNN reports with reference to the NATO press service.

If the world may have been too optimistic in 2023, we should not make the same mistake in 2024 by becoming too pessimistic
He pointed out that "if you look at the facts, there is every reason to be confident in Ukraine's ability to succeed."
The admiral reminded that this morning Ukrainian air defense forces intercepted all the missiles fired by the enemy. Therefore, there is nothing that Ukraine cannot do.
The only thing you need... is our help. NATO Allies and many other countries around the world are providing unprecedented support to Ukraine, and it really does make a difference. But Ukraine needs even more support. And it needs it now
The Admiral also emphasized that it would be a serious historical mistake to allow President Putin to prevail. "It would be dangerous for all of us. Because the outcome of this war will determine the fate of the entire world," Bauer added.
He also said that President Putin made two strategic mistakes: he underestimated Ukraine's determination and underestimated NATO's unity.
