The Konotop District Prosecutor's Office upheld a public prosecution against a 41-year-old man who brutally beat his girlfriend.
The incident occurred on March 15, 2024, around 18:00 in the city of Konotop. While drinking alcohol together, a quarrel arose between the civilian spouses, during which the man punched the woman in the face at least three times. During the fall, the woman broke the glass in the oven of the gas stove with her head. The 29-year-old victim was taken to the intensive care unit in serious condition.
It is worth noting that the accused already had 8 previous convictions, and it was on this basis that a dispute arose between him and his partner. In court, the man pleaded guilty and apologized to the victim.
The court sentenced the defendant to 5 years in prison.
