The Holosiivskyi District Court of the capital found a man guilty of hooliganism and sentenced him to one year in prison for launching fireworks from a high-rise building in March this year. This was reported by the Kyiv police on Monday, UNN reports .

In early March, Kyiv police reportedly received a report from residents of the Holosiivskyi district that an unknown person was launching fireworks. Patrol police officers and the investigative team of the territorial police unit arrived at the address. The offender was identified, and during a search of his apartment, investigators seized the remains of the fireworks.
The offender was a previously unconvicted resident of Kyiv, who pleaded guilty. He was served a notice of suspicion under Part 1 Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - hooliganism.
The Holosiivskyi District Court of Kyiv has now found the offender guilty of committing a criminal offense and sentenced him to one year of imprisonment
Law enforcement officials remind that according to the law, the use of pyrotechnics during martial law is prohibited.
