In the presence of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Kyiv RMA and the State of Utah with Utah Governor Spencer Cox. UNN reports this with reference to the Office of the President and the post of the head of the Kyiv RMA Ruslan Kravchenko on Facebook.
We are expanding our cooperation with American states. This is the second Memorandum between Kyiv RMA and a US state in its history. In the spring of this year, I signed an equally important document with Washington State Governor Jay Inslee
Kyiv region and Utah will reportedly cooperate in the following areas:
- economy;
- energy;
- aerospace and defense industry;
- software and information technology;
- agriculture;
- education, tourism;
- health and environmental protection;
- science and technology;
- art, culture, and humanitarianism.
It is noted that the memorandum opens up new opportunities for the exchange of experience, investment attraction, increased trade, and job creation.
"Cooperation between Utah and Kyiv region has great potential for both parties. It will help improve people's living standards, business development, and the implementation of humanitarian and social projects," Kravchenko added.
About 4,000 Ukrainians live in Utah, including 2,500 refugees.
