Ukraine is working to secure a "strong and far-reaching step" toward NATO membership at the Alliance's Washington summit in July. Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba told reporters , UNN reports citing The Guardian.
"We believe that Ukraine meets the main criterion for membership, namely the ability to defend NATO's borders. That's what we do when we defend Ukraine... Let me say that we are working hard to make a strong and far-reaching step towards Ukraine's NATO membership at the Washington Summit," Kuleba said.

The NATO Secretary General has once again confirmedthat there will be a "step forward" for Ukraine at the NATO summit in Washington this summer. He said this following telephone conversations with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, who also said that the need to continue supporting Ukraine was discussed.
