A court has confiscated a UAH 906,000 gift from former Supreme Court Chief Justice Vsevolod Kniazev and found him guilty based on NAPC materials, the agency said on Wednesday, UNN reports.

"The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv, based on the NACP's materials, found former Supreme Court Chief Justice Vsevolod Kniazev guilty of violating the restrictions on receiving gifts established by law. In addition, the court ordered Knyazev to pay a fine of UAH 2,550 and confiscated a gift in the amount of UAH 906,600," the statement said.
According to the NACP, in violation of the legal prohibition, "Vsevolod Kniazev received a gift in the form of a 133-square-meter apartment in the Pechersk district (Lipki) of Kyiv at a price significantly lower than the minimum market value of rental housing." "On the basis of a real estate lease agreement concluded at the end of 2017, the judge rented an apartment for living with a monthly payment of UAH 1 thousand," the report says.
A court ruling may be appealed within 10 days from the date of its issuance and becomes effective upon the expiration of the appeal period.
