It is indicated that, according to the latest meteorological reports, Italy will remain under the influence of a powerful subtropical anticyclone covering a significant part of the Mediterranean for several more days. A persistent high-pressure field will block the arrival of Atlantic fronts.
"Temperatures will remain significantly above the climatic norm for this period. In Central Italy and most of the Po Valley, daytime maximums will everywhere reach 38-39 degrees, and in areas most prone to heat accumulation, peaks close to 40 degrees are possible," the publication writes.
