The Crimean bridge is a military objective that must be destroyed. This is not new information. This is how Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, commented on The Guardian's article, which states that Ukraine plans to destroy the Crimean bridge in the first half of 2024, UNN reports.
"The Guardian certainly has its own sources, and there have been a lot of stories in the West lately with rather loud headlines referring to certain sources. It is always a good idea to comment on anonymous information. Speaking of public communication, I can assure you that information is made public when and where it is needed. As for this bridge, there have been numerous communications and statements on this issue from Ukrainian representatives of the security and defense sector, and the head of the SBU has commented on this situation. And finally, we can state that the Russians are constantly reporting to the Kremlin that this time all security measures have been taken. That is, they can't come up with anything else every time," Yusov said.
He noted that it is unlikely to frighten the occupiers with any new information.
"But the fact that all military targets, and this illegal facility is a military target, are subject to neutralization is not new information. There is nothing new here," Yusov added.
