Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in Ukraine, 2109 cultural infrastructure facilities have been damaged or destroyed. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications, UNN reports .
As of October 25, 2024, 2,109 cultural infrastructure facilities, excluding cultural heritage sites, suffered damage. Of these, 368 were destroyed (17.45%). In general, cultural infrastructure suffered the greatest losses and damage in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk regions,
In general, they suffered:
- club establishments - 1018;
- libraries - 750;
- art education institutions - 163;
- museums and galleries - 120;
- theaters, cinemas and philharmonic societies - 38;
- nature reserves - 7;
- parks, zoos - 9;
- circuses - 4.
