It is necessary to consolidate international efforts and increase pressure on Russia with the demand to de-occupy Zaporizhzhya NPP and transfer the nuclear facility under full control of the Ukrainian operator. This was stated during a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine Mustafa Levent Bilgen, said the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko, reports UNN with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

The parties also discussed cooperation in the gas sector, emphasizing that its deepening will be important for strengthening energy security of the region. In particular, they discussed the operation of the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline, as well as the use of Ukrainian underground storage facilities by non-residents for storing natural gas in the "customs warehouse" mode.
Ukraine is also interested in joining the Southern Gas Corridor project and is ready to to cooperate with all stakeholders to diversify the routes of of natural gas supplies.

Minister thanked Turkey for helping the Ukrainian energy sector and informed the Turkish side of the intention to create safe zones in Ukraine to create safe zones that will allow localizing the production of energy equipment. He invited Turkish partners to cooperate in this area and in in the development of relevant projects.
Mustafa Levent Bilgen noted that Turkish energy companies are potentially interested in investing in the Ukrainian energy market.
