Three entrepreneurs from Zhytomyr region were served a notice of suspicion for organizing wholesale supplies of granite and granite products to Russian enterprises and occupied territories in 2023-2024, which constitutes aiding the aggressor state.

Three entrepreneurs from Zhytomyr region have been notified of suspicion of aiding the aggressor state, having organized wholesale supplies of granite and granite products to Russian enterprises. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, UNN reports .

Under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General's Office, three citizens of Ukraine were served a notice of suspicion of aiding the aggressor state committed by a group of persons (Part 2 Art. 28, Part 1 Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),

Details

According to the investigation, in 2023-2024, entrepreneurs from Zhytomyr region organized wholesale supplies of granite and granite products to Russian enterprises and enterprises in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

To do this, one of the accomplices registered and used a company in an EU country to cover up illegal activities.

For the purpose of secrecy, orders for goods were accepted via mobile messengers and then sent abroad by road. From there, it was transported to Russia and the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine by rail.

The issues of choosing a measure of restraint for the two suspects and putting the third accomplice on the international wanted list are currently being decided.

Ukrainian law enforcement officers prevented an attempt by criminals from Dnipro to sell stolen aircraft parts worth over UAH 10 million to Russia. The SBU seized the components and is continuing the investigation; the criminals face up to 12 years in prison.
