The Ministry of Defense is allocating an additional UAH 1.1 billion to be sent directly to the brigades for the purchase of drones.

This week, the President instructed the Government to increase direct funding for the brigades to purchase additional drones. Today, this order will be fulfilled. The Ministry of Defense is allocating an additional UAH 1.1 billion for the purchase of drones. These funds will go directly to the brigades so that they can quickly cover the most important needs
He noted that this month the Ministry of Defense will directly transfer UAH 4.3 billion to military brigades, and over 11 months such direct funding amounted to UAH 27.2 billion, of which UAH 8.8 billion was spent on drones, UAH 3.9 billion was spent on other weapons and equipment, UAH 2.1 billion on vehicles, and UAH 15 billion on electronic warfare equipment.
“We are talking about the top-priority needs that the brigades have to meet as quickly as possible and with the highest priority. At the same time, over the first 10 months of this year, the government has spent UAH 229 billion to purchase military equipment, weapons, ammunition, defense products, personal protective equipment, and food for the Security and Defense Forces.
Another UAH 226 billion was allocated in the first months of the year to purchase goods to meet the needs of the Armed Forces. As for direct financing of the brigades, the Government has decided that next year it will be no less than this year. This is especially important for the rapid procurement of drones, of which we plan to produce more than 1.5 million this year.
Next year, the state budget will also allocate UAH 100 billion for the purchase of drones,” Shmyhal added.
