The General Staff confirmed that Ukrainian forces struck the Syzran Oil Refinery in the Samara region of the Russian Federation, 10 tankers, 4 ferries, and other enemy military targets, reports UNN.

Details

On July 11 and during the night of July 12, as part of reducing the military-economic potential of the Russian aggressor, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of important enemy military-economic and military targets.

As reported by the General Staff, during the night of July 12, a strike was carried out on the Syzran Oil Refinery in the Samara region of the Russian Federation.

Explosions and a fire were recorded on the territory of the enterprise. The extent of the damage and the results of the strike are being clarified.

The Syzran Oil Refinery is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in the Samara region. The plant's design capacity is about 8.5 million tons of oil per year. The enterprise produces motor gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation fuel, and other petroleum products used, in particular, to meet the needs of the armed forces of the Russian Federation.

Also, according to the General Staff, 10 tankers of the Russian Federation and 4 ferries in the waters of the Sea of Azov were struck.

The tankers are used to transport Russian oil and petroleum products in circumvention of international sanctions, and the ferries provide military logistics and cargo transportation in the interests of the armed forces of the Russian Federation.

On July 11, an enemy train with fuel and lubricants was struck in the area of Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia region. A strike on a locomotive was recorded.

Recall

Ukrainian FP-1 Deep Strike-class attack drones manufactured by Fire Point have surpassed some cruise missiles in characteristics, in particular the British Storm Shadow: they are capable of hitting targets at a distance of over 3,000 km and carrying a warhead comparable to a missile one, while costing tens of times less, stated Advisor to the Minister of Defense Serhiy Sternenko.

According to him, for the cost of one Storm Shadow (about $2.5 million), you can purchase 30-50 drones, and it is the mass production of cheap UAVs that has allowed Ukraine to systematically destroy Russian logistics.

As an example, Sternenko cited the strike of modernized FP-1s on the Omsk Oil Refinery in Siberia at a distance of over 2,500 km.

Recall, after the strike by Ukrainian drones on the oil refinery in Russian Omsk, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that there is no longer a single oil refinery in Russia that Ukraine cannot reach.
