Details

"SBI employees have completed an investigation into the former head of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support. He did not report for duty without good reason and evaded military service," the statement said.

According to UNN sources, this is the former head of the Odesa TCC and JV, Yevhen Borysov.

The investigation found that Borisov traveled outside Ukraine in 2022-2023 under the guise of a person who had allegedly suffered as a result of Russian aggression. In particular, with the help of a doctor he knew, he arranged to leave for treatment after being wounded at the front.

"In fact, the former head of the Odesa Regional TCC and JV traveled to expensive resorts in the Seychelles and Spain. The investigation also revealed the fact that the former military commander used a forged document as a reason for not reporting for military service on time," the SBI added.

Borisov is accused of:

  • use of a knowingly forged document (part 4 of Article 358 of the CCU);
  • failure to report for service on time without valid reasons by a serviceman (except for conscript service) committed under martial law (part 5 of Article 407 of the CCU);
  • evasion of military service by means of other deception committed under martial law (Part 4 of Article 409 of the CCU).

He faces up to 10 years in prison.
