An oil depot in Proletarsk, Rostov region, Russia, attacked by drones on the night of August 18, has been burning for more than four days. Extinguishing the fire was complicated by a new explosion, the online edition 161ru writes, reports UNN.
On the evening of August 21, another explosion reportedly occurred in Proletarsk. The flames from it were seen even in the neighboring town of Salsk, according to local residents.
"I live 10 kilometers from the oil depot, the flash was like the sun at sunset," wrote one of the residents of Rostov region.
On the morning of August 22, TASS reported, citing operational services, that firefighters had extinguished six fuel tanks.

The oil depot started burning on the morning of August 18, after the drone arrived. According to locals, the fire reached the tanks, which caused the city to be covered in black smoke - people complain that it became difficult to breathe. More than 500 rescuers are working to eliminate the fire.
According to recent reports, the number of people injured in the fire has reached 47.
