In Ukraine, electricity consumption may increase by 20-30% in the summer, but a critical situation is not expected. At the same time, the issue of economical consumption will remain relevant during the summer months. This was announced by Ruslan Slobodyan, Head of the State Energy Supervision Agency, during a telethon, a correspondent of UNN reports.
In summer, there is a certain increase in electricity consumption. It may be an increase of 20-30%, but we expect that in general, these daytime peaks will be covered by an increase in electricity generation from renewable sources, primarily solar power plants
According to him, there is already a noticeable increase in the amount of electricity generated by solar power plants.
"Therefore, we do not expect any critical situation, but the issue of economical consumption will remain relevant during the summer months. At the same time, we will continue to restore the damaged power facilities. This process will take a long time. At the moment, some facilities are still in the process of debris removal, and international assistance is being actively engaged," said Slobodyan.
