As a result of hostilities and shelling, consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were left without electricity. Due to bad weather, 16 settlements in Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions were blacked out.

Enemy attacks and bad weather left some consumers without power in four and two regions respectively, and no blackout schedules are expected, the Energy Ministry reported on Friday, writes UNN.

Enemy attacks

"As a result of hostilities and shelling of energy facilities, some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions are temporarily without electricity," the Energy Ministry reported.

Energy workers are working to restore power to Ukrainian homes as quickly as possible. Restoration work continues around the clock, the ministry noted.

Bad weather

Due to bad weather, 16 settlements in Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions remain without electricity. Repair crews are working on restoration.

Will there be schedules

"No restrictions are forecast for today," the statement reads.

Active energy consumption today, as noted, should be shifted to daytime hours - from 11:00 to 15:00.

According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption is showing a downward trend. Today, July 10, as of 09:30, it was 1.3% lower than at the same time the previous day – Thursday. The reason for the changes is clear weather in the central regions of Ukraine. This ensures high efficiency of household solar power plants and a corresponding reduction in energy consumption from the general grid. Yesterday, July 9, the daily peak consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 5.5% lower than the peak of the previous day – Wednesday, July 8. The reason is a decrease in air temperature in some regions of Ukraine, which reduces the need to use air conditioners.
