Donald Tusk calls Viktor Orban's government pro-Russian

Donald Tusk calls the Hungarian government headed by Viktor Orban pro-Russian and says that Poland and Hungary are not politically close now, partly because Orban is blocking EU funds for Poland intended to support Ukraine.

Answering the a question about possible talks with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Polish Prime Ministerial candidate Donald Tusk said that the Hungarian and and Polish sides are not "politically close" today, as the government of Viktor Orban's government has "openly switched to Russian positions". He also added that he does not overestimate "his influence on Viktor Orban," noting that the parties are not close to each other politically. 

When asked about the questions about relations with Hungary, Tusk recalled in particular that Orban's government was blocking decisions that provide Poland with 800 million euros, "because only Europe owes us owes us for what we gave as weapons to Ukraine."

Keeping in mind Mateusz Morawiecki's government, Tusk said that  he is "bitter because at the last moment, when they are running after their money and positions for their colleagues, they were unable to resolve with Orban such an such an urgent issue for us as the allocation of 800 million euros for armaments."

The PIS chairman also assured that he will stand his ground in the European Council, as he is convinced that most leaders will take into account Polish opinion from now on, when it comes to Ukraine and Hungary with the Orban government. In particular, Tusk promised to "use different arguments and ways" so that, given that Orban's relations with Moscow and Putin are organic, "to neutralize the negative consequences of such an attitude."

Donald Tusk hopes that the Sejm will elect a new prime minister, that the Sejm will elect a new prime minister and the Council of Ministers on Tuesday, and on Wednesday and the oath-taking ceremony will take place on Wednesday. He also said that the new government aims to settle Polish-Ukrainian relations.
