"We should not forget that recently there have been certain regulatory changes, and in accordance with the decisions of our group of experts on immuno-Prevention, National recommendations have been adjusted. National recommendations are that the basic course of vaccination is not two vaccinations, but one vaccination, as well as revaccination," Kuzin said.
He noted that revaccination is indicated only for groups with medical or occupational risk.
Occupational risks are health professionals, service professionals, or those who have frequent contact with large masses of the population, such as teachers.
The medical risk group is those who have severe concomitant noncommunicable diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases, bronchial asthma, diabetes mellitus, or other serious conditions.
"Such people are shown revaccination, and it should be carried out every year, for a period of 6 to 12 months. We recommend revaccination on an annual basis, preferably before the start of the epidemic season," Kuzin concluded.
