The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi has announced what he expects from the new State Logistics Operator: the fight against corruption, high-quality and timely supply of troops, and improvement of the procurement process. He said this at the presentation of the DOT, which will deal with non-defense procurement on December 18, UNN reports citing Radio Liberty.
The first thing we want is for the concept of the Armed Forces and the concept of corruption to be completely incompatible. The Armed Forces must concentrate on fulfilling their tasks. Not on finding food, not on finding clothes and armor, they should concentrate on performing combat missions. There should be no manifestations of corruption,
Zaluzhnyi also emphasized that the launch of the agency should provide the army with high-quality, necessary and timely procurement. He also mentioned the normalization of all procurement procedures and the digitalization of processes as separate goals. State Enterprise "State Logistics Operator" is a state agency that meets the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the supply of food, clothing, fuel and lubricants for the military.
Additions.
After his appointment as the head of the State Logistics Operator, Arsen Zhumadilov announced changes in procurement, including food for the military. According to him, the State Logistics Operator will divide the 407 items in the catalog of food for the military into approximately 30-35 categories, each of which will have separate contracts and procedures.
