According to the new law, territorial recruitment centers will call citizens who are registered with the military and have reached the age of 25 to clarify their credentials and undergo a medical examination. This is stated in the statement of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reports UNN.
The General Staff reminded that according to the Law on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Military Duty and Military Service" signed by the President of Ukraine, the age of citizens' registration with the military service was reduced from 27 to 25 years.
Citizens who have reached the age of 25 will be subject to removal from the military registration of conscripts and registration of persons liable for military service.
At the same time, in accordance with the Presidential Decree "On the Discharge of Servicemen in Regular Military Service", regular military service personnel are being discharged in April and May. In total, about 7,000 people in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service are to be dismissed.
