A new fraudulent scheme has emerged in Ukraine, when people receive fake SMS about the arrival of parcels on behalf of one of the well-known postal services. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Details
The agency explained that during the holidays, people are more likely to use the services of postal operators. And criminals are willing to take advantage of this.
Fraudsters send SMS with a phishing link. The message states that the parcel you sent or sent needs to be updated. For this purpose, they offer to click on the link. This is how fraudsters get money and personal data

The Ministry emphasizes that you should never click on dubious links. It is better to contact the postal operator to clarify the status of the parcel (via personal account, mobile application, phone).
The Ministry of Internal Affairs also urged Ukrainians not to hide money to unknown persons and not to disclose personal data and confirmation codes via SMS to third parties.
Addendum
The press service of the Cyber Police Department of the National Police advised Ukrainians to get a separate Internet card for online shopping, to which they need to transfer only the amount necessary for payment or pay money after receiving the goods to minimize the risk of losing money.
