A Ukrainian border guard rescued paintings by a Ukrainian artist from under the rubble during the battles for Chasiv Yar. This was reported by UNN with reference to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

A fighter of the "Forpost" brigade with the call sign "Nexus" found several paintings in a half-destroyed house. Their owner, fleeing during the evacuation, was unable to take his works.
It was the basement of the house. I had to find paintings in one of the apartments, very beautiful paintings. It is clear that this was not painted by some amateur, but by a professional artist. And I thought that I should return them, of course, to the one who painted them
The border guard found the owner of the paintings by the inscription on one of them. The response was not long in coming - the owner lived in Sweden.
Now he has come to Ukraine for a month and a half to his family. He is very grateful, very impressed. He had already buried these works, so to speak, because they remained there. That house is no longer there either. Every thing has value, and a price. Perhaps these paintings have, probably, a small price, but a huge value for the person who painted them
Reminder
Recently, customs officers confiscated five postcards from the 1930s depicting Hitler from a Kyiv woman. She tried to take them by train to Prague without permit documents.
