Defense forces on the night of December 1 destroyed 18 out of 25 Shahed attack drones and one X-59 missile out of two launched by Russian troops in the skies over Ukraine, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Friday, UNN reports.

On the night of December 1, 2023, the enemy reportedly attacked with Shahed-type attack drones from two directions: Cape Chauda - occupied Crimea, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - Russian Federation. The occupiers also launched a guided missile attack from the airspace of the occupied Kherson region.
The main direction of the strike is the south and east of the country, the Air Force reported.
In total, the enemy used two X-59 KARs and 25 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. As a result of combat operations, 18 attack UAVs and one X-59 guided missile were destroyed, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Telegram.
Air defense was conducted in Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro regions.
Anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the air attack.
