Fourteen bodies have been found in the Haitian capital Port-au-Prince after weeks of gang violence that led to the resignation of the prime minister. UNN writes about this with reference to AFP.

Local residents said they did not know the circumstances of the deaths, but said the Laboule and Thomassin neighborhoods in the affluent suburb of Petion-Ville had been under attack by armed criminals since early morning. Witnesses said gang members attacked a bank, a gas station and residential buildings in the area.
They came in balaclavas in their cars, on motorcycles, in their own ambulance, and then organized a massacre of the population of Petionville
On Monday, a local judge narrowly escaped an attack on his home.

For three weeks now, Haiti has been gripped by a bandit uprising by heavily armed groupswho claim to want to overthrow Prime Minister Ariel Henry.
Last week, Henry agreed to step down to allow for the formation of an interim government, under pressure from neighboring Caribbean countries, including the United States.
The situation remains difficult. Several countries, including the United States and European Union member states, have evacuated diplomatic personnel from Haiti in response to the crisis.
