On the occasion of the creation of the National Guard of Ukraine, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated all soldiers on their professional holiday. This was reported by UNN with reference to Zelensky's Telegram channel.

"Ten years ago, our National Guard of Ukraine was created. And each of these years has been a time of unwavering courage for Ukraine, unwavering strength for the results Ukraine needs, and unwavering devotion to Ukraine. We are proud of every unit of the National Guard of Ukraine," Zelensky wrote.
The President thanked every soldier of the National Guard who, since 2014 and since February 24, have linked their own fate with the fate of Ukraine's independence, and honored all the soldiers of the National Guard who gave their lives in battles for the sake of the state.
Zelenskyy also showed footage of the combat work of the National Guard units.

The formation of the National Guard of Ukraine began in 1991. In 1999, the National Guard was transferred to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, but was completely disbanded the following year. The National Guard was revived in the spring of 2014.
