Border guards urged tourists to refrain from visiting closed mountain routes, as they may meet dangerous "inhabitants" of the Carpathians - bears. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service, UNN reports.
"We warn about the dangerous "inhabitants" of the Carpathians - bears It is a common thing for border guards to see traces of a wild animal in this area, which cannot be said about an accidental "tourist". After all, the bear's speed on mountain slopes is impressive - up to 50 km/h. It is hardly worth competing and proving superiority in this case. Therefore, we warn you: refrain from visiting closed mountain routes, as this can endanger your life and health," the statement reads.
In a video published by the State Border Guard Service, border guards showed paw prints and the bear itself, filmed on a drone with a thermal imager.
"The bear was walking. It had legs. I would have asked him to help me pull the car, but he's not talkative. He went somewhere," the border guard joked against the background of the car stuck in the mud.
Recall
Due to the military actions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine and the ban on hunting, bears have found peace from hunters. Currently, the traces of the world's largest predator are found by residents or tourists hiking down mountain trails in the Carpathians.
