"The State Logistics Operator has saved two billion hryvnias of budget funds through a flexible pricing system when concluding contracts for the supply of food for the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the second quarter. This is reported by the press service of the DOT, UNN writes.

"The State Logistics Operator signed contracts for the supply of food for the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the second quarter. Savings on food packages amounted to UAH 2 billion. At the same time, it is expected that quarterly savings on food will amount to more than UAH 500 million," the DOT said in a statement
It is noted that this indicator is achieved by saving on the TOP-10 most used goods compared to the prices in previous contracts:
- Frozen pork, boneless shoulder - 17% savings;
- Pork, frozen thigh - 31% savings;
- Frozen chicken fillet - 27% savings;
- Buckwheat kernel cereal - 51% savings;
- Frozen pork, boneless loin - 25% savings;
- Refined sunflower oil - 31% savings;
- Sugar - 27% savings;
- Fresh onions - 36% savings;
- Chilled pork neck - 17% savings;
- Ham, brisket (smoked) - 14% savings.
The DOT added that the cost of products is based on the consumer price index and is reviewed monthly to reflect market dynamics.

The "State Logistics Operator" agreed with suppliers on a maximum price ceiling for food purchased for the Armed Forces. It also provided for a mechanism to reduce them, depending on the market situation.
