President Donald Trump said he left "instructions" for the United States to respond with overwhelming military force if Iran succeeds in assassinating him, reports UNN citing CNN.
"I've been on their list for a long time. That's what we're dealing with," Trump told the New York Post on Friday.
"The only thing I left is instructions — if something happens, just bomb them with a force they have never seen before," he added.
When asked whether Israel is sharing intelligence about a new Iranian plot to assassinate him, Trump denied the existence of a new plan, telling The Post: "No, no. Israel didn't make anything up."
The president added that Iran has wanted him dead for years. "I've been number one (on Iran's hit list) for a long time, and that's life, you know."
In February 2025, Trump similarly stated that he left instructions in case Iran kills him. "I left instructions: if they do it, they will be destroyed, nothing will be left," he said during a visit by the Prime Minister of Israel.
