UNN conducted a journalistic investigation into the scandalous purchase of mortar rounds under a contract between the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Lviv Arsenal company and prepared a film based on the materials collected.
Back in the fall of 2022, the Ministry of Defense and Lviv Arsenal signed a contract for the supply of 100,000 mortar rounds worth almost UAH 1.4 billion. However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have not yet received the ammunition.
As it turned out, most of the funds were arrested on the accounts of the Lviv Arsenal company, and the rest of the money was used to buy shells abroad, which are now stored in Slovakia.
In January 2024, law enforcement officers conducted searches as part of criminal proceedings for non-fulfillment of the contract and announced 5 suspicions.
Who signed the contract, how the events developed and what is happening now in the criminal proceedings, watch the movie.
