Divers found the body of a man at a depth of 9 meters in the Dnipro River after he fell from an amusement ride in Kyiv. The search operation lasted about seven hours, and the police launched a criminal investigation.

In the capital, rescue divers have curtailed the search operation on the Dnipro River, as details of the accident are now known. Writes UNN with reference to KCSA.

Details

According to official reports, the rescuers found the body at a distance of 30 meters from the shore and at a depth of 9 meters. The body was brought to shore and handed over to law enforcement.

As of now , search operations near the Park Pedestrian Bridge have been completed, the KCSA press service reports.

Kyiv police received information about the accident yesterday at around 14:00. Investigators of the Pechersk Police Department initiated criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 2 of Article 272, Part 3 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The search operation, which was carried out by officers of the Kyiv River Port Police Department and rescuers of the State Emergency Service, lasted about seven hours and was terminated at dusk.
