According to him, the Ministry of Finance is looking for a compromise with parliamentarians on tax increases. Marchenko believes that in the near future the parties will come to a compromise proposal that "society and business will be ready to accept".
Marchenko said that Ukraine will now have to revise the budget and increase spending on the security and defense sector.
"We have no other choice. And with the sources, how we will do it, I think we know a compromise and will come up with an acceptable option that will ensure the interests of both the military and the economy," Marchenko said.
