Stefanchuk discussed the needs of the Defense Forces with the Chairman of the National Assembly of Bulgaria

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with the Chairman of the National Assembly of Bulgaria Rosen Zhelyazkov and discussed cooperation in supporting the Defense Forces. This was reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the Verkhovna Rada.

Stefanchuk thanked for practical assistance to Ukraine and Bulgaria's joining initiatives to support our country.

The parties  paid special attention to the defense sector.

In particular, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine noted that accelerating Ukraine's victory is possible only if Ukraine receives continuous and timely supplies of weapons, including artillery, ammunition, air defense systems, and the necessary equipment.

In addition, Ukraine needs help in treating wounded Ukrainian soldiers.

The parties also discussed Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration. Ruslan Stefanchuk said that Ukraine has fulfilled all four legislative steps - a condition for starting negotiations on joining the European Union. 

He also emphasized that Ukraine needs effective security guarantees. We hope that a bilateral security agreement will be signed with Bulgaria as well

Defense Minister Todor Tagarev said that Bulgaria's military aid to Ukraine amounts to 47 million euros. He assured that his country would continue military assistance to Kyiv, but would not send troops.
