Experts from the Military Research Laboratory of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, together with experts from the EU and the US, were trained in the disposal of explosive devices of a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive nature in Hungary. This was reported in an exclusive commentary to UNN by in Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.
During practical exercises at a specially equipped training ground, European and American experts practiced identifying and neutralizing improvised explosive devices. In particular, the synthesis of explosives was demonstrated. The experience of conducting controlled explosions at the training ground was new, allowing for a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of action of such devices and, accordingly, more effective neutralization
The Institute noted that modern realities require forensic experts to have in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the field of defusing improvised explosive devices.
“The availability of information about their production increases the risks of terrorist acts and criminal acts, which poses serious threats to the safety of citizens. This is especially true in the context of Russia's military aggression against our country and the enemy's systematic attempts to carry out sabotage activities in the rear,” the experts said.
The training was held in Hungary with the participation of representatives of Ukraine and EU member states, under the guidance of the Central European CBRN-E Training Center (CE CBRN-E TC) and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation.
