South Korea has announced its intention to provide humanitarian aid in the amount of $6 million, which will be used to support the World Food Program initiative. This was reported by Yonhap, according to UNN.

The funds will be used to supply Ukrainian grain to countries facing difficult conditions of famine and drought.
During the “Grain from Ukraine” meeting, which was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Kang In-sung, a plan was announced to distribute part of the grain exported from Ukraine through the Black Sea to countries experiencing food shortages.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that South Korea is ready to strengthen international cooperation in the face of the global food crisis that is affecting many regions of the world.
