Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal instructed the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health to take measures to address situations where wounded soldiers are forced to go to the military medical examination center on their own. He emphasized that this is unacceptable and the system should work differently.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal  instructed the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health to investigate and take measures regarding situations where wounded soldiers are forced to attend military medical commissions (MMCs) on their own, as soldiers should not have to do this and this is an unacceptable situation. He said this during an hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada, an UNN correspondent reports .

We have accepted all the documents, and I will ask the Ministry of Defense to deal with this particular case, because we have all the documents accepted when the MEC visits servicemen who are wounded, that is, the MEC should come to the bedside and the wounded serviceman should not go to the MEC at all. I don't quite understand, if it is true what you say, it means that the system does not work, and I immediately give a task and ask the Ministry of Defense together with the Ministry of Health to take measures

- Shmyhal said.

The Prime Minister emphasized that this is an absolutely unacceptable situation,  when a wounded soldier has to go somewhere, to some military medical examination board, to stand somewhere, to beg for something.

AddendumAddendum

For the military , the military medical examination was simplified, and documents no longer need to be carried in person.
