The command of the Russian invaders in the occupied Donetsk region has stopped identifying the dead invaders in order not to pay compensation to the relatives of the victims, said Andriy Kovalev, spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during a telethon, UNN reports.

According to Kovalyov, in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, the command of the Russian occupiers has stopped identifying the dead invaders and is trying to conceal the real number of casualties.
He added that this is done in order to avoid paying compensation to the families of the deceased occupiers.
"For example, in Horlivka, on December 18, about 30 bodies of Russian invaders were brought to the local morgue, or rather what was left of them. Fragments of the occupiers' bodies were brought by their command from the area of assault operations north of Avdiivka. Lists of personnel of Russian assault units have not been compiled or clarified. The bodies of these occupants will be buried as unidentified persons," Kovalev said.

The losses of the Russian occupiers since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine have already reached about 350,270 people, 5828 tanks and hundreds of pieces of military equipment.
